Grand ménage de printemps : c'est le moment de changer sa literie - Label Naturel

The days are getting longer, the temperatures are rising, the birds are singing and the trees are in flower... no doubt, we are well into spring! To take full advantage of this season, it's time to do some spring cleaning and change your bedding.

Adopt a new duvet

With the sunny days coming and temperatures rising, your big duvet that helped you get through the winter will no longer be necessary. The arrival of spring marks a time of change. Now, it is time to adopt a summer duvet, lighter or a mid-season duvet, more temperate, to make this change gently before summer. If you are hesitating between these two duvets, here is our advice. “Summer” duvets Perfect for people sensitive to heat and/or if your room is heated to more than 20 degrees. On the other hand, “mid-season” duvets suitable for rooms heated between 17 and 20 degrees. To make the right choice, discover our quilt guide and choose from our range the duvet that suits you best.

Opt for organic cotton bed linen

This spring season, your bed has the right to get a makeover! So who says new season, says new sheets. And why not adopt organic cotton bed linen? Handmade, certified Oeko-Tex and GOTS, With a soft and delicate touch, you won't be able to do without it... Its plus: it comes in 7 colors. So it’s up to you to choose whether you’re more of a pure white, sand or charron blue…

Moreover, if you are hesitating between satin or cotton percale, we give you all the advantages and disadvantages of these weaves.

Do the spring cleaning

The beautiful days are here, it’s time to air everything out! This will help evacuate accumulated dust and thus clean up your bedding. Also take the opportunity to wash your pillows and duvets so that they regain their original fluffiness.

During your big spring cleaning, don't hesitate to leave all the windows open to renew the air and chase away dust mites and other bacteria that have settled in during the winter.

Once your bedding has been changed and washed, your sleeping space ventilated and disinfected, your room is now ready for spring! If the sunny days persist, don't hesitate to air out and wash your sheets as often as possible to keep a healthy, relaxing and soothing space.

Happy spring!

FAQs

Light duvet or mid-season duvet: what are the differences and for which rooms?
The light duvet, often called a “summer duvet”, has a low weight (around 150 g/m²) and is suitable for rooms heated above 20°C. The mid-season duvet is more temperate (approximately 300 g/m²) and is suitable for rooms between 17 and 20°C. For a cool bedroom, it is better to choose a warmer duvet or a 4-season model combining several layers.
Cotton satin or percale: which weave to choose to feel less hot at night?
Cotton sateen has a very soft, slightly satiny feel, but it retains heat a little more. Cotton percale, more matte and breathable, promotes better air circulation, ideal for people who tend to feel hot at night. The choice therefore depends on your preferences in terms of comfort and thermoregulation.
Can you machine wash a silk comforter or does it need to be dry cleaned?
Silk duvets are delicate pieces that cannot withstand conventional machine washes. It is recommended to entrust them to a dry cleaner specialized in dry cleaning or to maintain them with a Detergent special silk, like Tenestar®, hand wash. Regular ventilation is also essential to maintain their freshness.
What are the benefits of cotton satin for skin and hair?
Cotton satin, with its softness and smooth surface, limits friction during sleep. It helps preserve skin hydration and reduce morning marks. For hair, it reduces the effect of frizz and breakage, while providing luxurious comfort and pleasant to the touch.
What Detergent use for silk, down, wool or organic cotton?
There are specific detergents suitable for each natural fiber. The Detergent Tenestar® for silk, Tenemoll® for wool and down, and Tenetex® for linen and organic cotton. These formulas preserve the fibers, prevent them from shrinking and guarantee optimal longevity for your delicate laundry.
