Duck or goose down, what are the differences?
At Label Naturel, we offer 2 types of down: duck down and goose down. To best choose the duvet that suits you, we explain the main differences between these two duvets.
Duck down is more widespread than goose down, with fewer geese being farmed. It is also less expensive and has a lower CUIN (filling power).
In summary, duck down is a more economical option with good performance, while goose down offers superior luxury and insulation as well as a rarity justifying a higher cost.
How to maintain your down duvet?
Washing: Down comforters can be machine washed. Select a delicate program and a maximum temperature of 40°C. Prefer a mild detergent specially formulated for down. Normally, one wash per year is sufficient.
Drying: Choose drying in the open air, flat and away from the sun so as not to damage the filling.
Dry cleaning: Dry cleaning is permitted for the maintenance of your down comforter Label Naturel. Entrust your precious duvet to a trusted professional who will know how to take care of it.
Regular maintenance: Remember to air your down duvet regularly to restore its fluffiness.
