Certifications and Labels
Each time a product offered on our site is labeled, we clearly mention the label it has, the name of the certification body and of course the meaning and interest of this label.
These labels are a guarantee of quality and longevity and say a lot about the origin, composition, safety and care taken in the manufacturing of the products we offer you. They are also often a guarantee of eco-responsible ethics companies that manufacture them.
These labels are communicated to us by the manufacturers and are mentioned for each product concerned with the agreement and under the sole responsibility of the latter. Finally, please note that if we have the slightest doubt about the validity of a certification, we do not mention it or simply cease marketing the product concerned.
Woolmark®
The certificate Woolmark® is used to identify goods that contain virgin wool from the shearing of healthy, living animals, as opposed to wool recovered from the fleeces of slaughtered animals and recycled wool. The Woolmark label guarantees a product made from pure virgin wool (100% of the composition).
GOTS
Labeled products GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) have a fully bio-ethical production chain which meets the following requirements: • organic certification of the entire textile sector, • demanding environmental criteria, • working conditions: no child labor or forced labor, sufficient wages and decent working hours and regularity of employment, • security.
Oeko-Tex®
A manufacturer can affix the label Oeko-Tex® on a product if it has been proven through exhaustive laboratory tests that all of its components, including accessories, represent no danger to health. These harmfulness controls include substances regulated and prohibited by law, but also chemicals known to be of health concern as well as parameters introduced as health precautions. The more intense the contact with the skin, the stricter the criteria to be met in terms of human ecology.
RDS
The RDS label (Responsible Down Standard) is an international quality label defined for down, which pays very particular attention to animal welfare:
- The RDS standard requires animal welfare practices to be implemented on duck and goose farms in the down and feather supply chain. It certifies that the down and feathers used comply with animal welfare requirements and traces them from the farm to the finished product.
- Products certified to comply with the RDS standard therefore only contain down or feathers from farms certified to comply with animal welfare requirements.
- Finally, purchasing RDS certified products demonstrates the demand for better animal welfare practices in the down and feather supply chain.
French Origin Guaranteed®
Created in 2010 by the Pro France association, the Origine France Garantie® label is a French certification which guarantees the geographical origin of a product. It was created to inform consumers about the origin of products and encourage the purchase of goods made in France. To obtain this label, a product must meet strict criteria, of which a significant part of its added value must be of French origin. This means that most of the manufacturing process, from design to production, must take place in France. The Origine France Garantie® label aims to promote transparency and support local production while helping consumers make informed choices in favor of French products.
