The objective of this guide is to help you choose your pillow in 5 quick and easy steps.

1 - Choose the filling

There are two main families of pillows: synthetic pillows and the natural pillows.

Today, synthetic pillows are very common because they are generally inexpensive. However, they have many disadvantages:

  • synthetic fibers come from petroleum derivatives or polymerized natural materials and are therefore chemical,
  • they often undergo additional antibacterial chemical treatment,
  • they absorb little moisture and regulate temperature poorly, which makes you sweat,
  • they can cause allergies.

You won't find any here. True to our philosophy, we only offer natural pillows because they are:
  • more respectful of nature,
  • softer,
  • more comfortable,
  • healthier,
  • less allergenic.

A - Cotton or kapok pillows

  • Cheap : cotton and kapok are very absorbent and inexpensive materials.  The cotton or kapok pillows therefore have excellent value for money in the “natural pillows” category.
  • Ergonomic : cotton and kapok having significant resilience (ability for a material to return to its initial shape after being crushed), cotton or kapok pillows often offer firm comfort without any muscular tension in the cervical area.
  • Modular : clever, these pillows also have an inner cover with a zipper which allows you to remove or add the filling at will in order to obtain the desired support.
  • Healthy : naturally antibacterial and antiperspirant, cotton and kapok are not very popular with mites and provide an unfavorable environment for their infestation.

B - Wool pillows

  • Cozy : wool is a very absorbent and very warm material. The wool pillows are therefore cozy and pleasant.
  • Ergonomic : wool also has significant resilience (the ability of a material to return to its initial shape after being crushed), wool pillows often offer firm comfort without any muscular tension in the cervical area.
  • Modular : equipped with an inner envelope with a zipper, it is easy to remove or add filling as desired in order to obtain the desired support.

C - Down pillows

There are many types of feathers and down whose properties vary greatly. The more refined and high-quality the down filling, the more optimal the thermal comfort.
  • Bulking : the down used in the manufacture of our pillows and bolsters is new, very fluffy and naturally ventilated.
  • Healthy : down being very airy, it offers natural anti-mite protection. Also, we have chosen not to add an acaricide product. Finally, the anti-mite treatment with which some manufacturers imbue their products is justified by the use of renovated and second-hand down and also proves to be ephemeral after a few cleanings. A specific anti-mite treatment is therefore unnecessary as long as airing your pillow and changing your pillowcase are sufficient.
  • Fluffy and soft : Often very swelling, the down pillows offer truly soft support, perfectly suited to people with neck pain.

 D - Silk pillows

  • Cheap : contrary to popular belief, silk pillows including those of high quality are now accessible and offered on our site at finally reasonable prices. There are again many qualities of silk but also types of manufacturing which influence prices as well as thermal properties.
  • Dishes and farms : relatively low in swelling, silk pillows offer a flat profile with firm comfort which may surprise at first glance but which very quickly convinces in use and also perfectly meets the expectations of sleepers wishing to maintain good spinal alignment during the night.
  • Healthy : silk is naturally anti-mite and anti-bacterial. It is very probably the least favorable natural material for infestation by mites. We therefore chose not to add an acaricide product. Finally, the anti-mite treatment with which some manufacturers imbue their products is justified by the use of silk flakes (recycled waste from the silk industry). Obviously, we do not offer any products made from silk flakes on our site.

2 - Choose the size

Available in square or rectangular formats (American format), our pillows come in a multitude of sizes to meet all needs and constraints.

If you use your pillow with a bolster, we advise you to opt for a square pillow. Conversely, if you plan to stack several pillows, the ideal is to opt for a square pillow accompanied by a rectangular pillow.

Our pillows are also available in child and baby sizes adapted to the morphology of the youngest and the specific dimensions of the special childcare bedding.

3 - Choose comfort

Our pillows are classified on the site into 4 comfort levels: soft (soft), medium-firm, firm and adjustable, each comfort level corresponding more or less to a type of sleeping position.

A - soft pillows

Do you find sleeping on your stomach? Favor pillows soft.
Indeed, in this position, the pillow must be as low as possible so that the head remains in the natural extension of the spine.

B - medium-firm pillows

Do you find sleeping on your back? The pillows medium-firm are made for you because they provide perfect support for your head and neck without being too bulky and creating an arch in the cervical area.

C - firm pillows

You find yourself sleeping on your side ? In this case, the pillows farms are recommended because when sleeping on your side, it is necessary to fill the gap between the head and the mattress to respect the natural alignment of the cervical spine.

4 - Choose the envelope

Here too, we advise you to choose a natural envelope and to avoid mixtures of fibers which are only natural in the image we want to give them.

A - The material

Cotton envelopes are the most common. They are healthy and inexpensive. Once again, the synthetic fibers sold with great marketing and whose brand name is registered are generally very far from being real natural materials. Besides, why invent new materials when nature already produces the best?

B - The fabric

There are different fabrics: The most common weaves are percale, satin, cambric and flannel which are plain fabrics and jacquards which are patterned fabrics whose weave is made up of threads of the same color or different colors, which form a design. There are no rules or traps here: choose the fabric that best matches your decor by simply paying attention to the "thread count" of your fabric, that is to say the number of threads in the fabric. cm2. We advise you to opt for a minimum of 80 threads/cm2 so that the cover of your pillow is soft and resistant to wear and tear over time. The envelopes of all our pillows are made of the best quality percale, satin, cambric or jacquard. Don't lose sight of the fact that whatever the envelope, you will slip your pillow into a pillowcase which will finish the decor of the room and ideally in a pillow protector easily washable

5 - Check labels and certifications

The labels will also help you make your choice. Issued by independent organizations, they guarantee the quality of your pillow, but also the absence of toxic substances, its natural composition and the origin of the raw materials from which they are made.

Here you will find all our quality labels.

5 - Performance of our pillows by type of filling

Compare the performance of each pillow type at a glance. The higher the star rating, the better the performance (on a 5-star scale).
