Originally, it was made of wool knitted by hand by women then rubbed with thistles by men during the long winter evenings. Faced with the success of this new warm and resistant material, numerous factories are being created. Today, only a few workshops still remain and perpetuate ancestral gestures. Val d'Arizes is undoubtedly one of the best known.

On the other hand, this poncho is of great quality and very warm for the winter.
