Paisley pattern stole in merino wool and silk made in France

Merino wool and silk have complementary physical properties. Their combination makes it possible to combine the insulating capabilities of wool with the fineness and resistance of silk.

• Natural thermal insulation: the undulations of the merino wool fibers encourage the formation of small air pockets which slow down heat exchange with the outside.
• Better humidity management: merino wool can absorb up to about 30% of its weight in humidity before feeling frankly wet, depending on conditions. Silk also has a good capacity for absorbing water vapor.
• Softness linked to the fineness of the fibers: merino wool fibers are generally finer than those of ordinary wool. Combined with the smooth surface of the silk filaments, they can limit the sensations of friction and tingling.
• A naturally resistant silk: despite its fineness, silk has good tensile strength. It contributes to the mechanical properties of the fabric, even if the final resistance also depends on the weaving and the quality of the threads.
• A soft and pleasant fabric to drape: the silk filaments can promote the fluidity of the fabric, while the natural elasticity of merino wool allows it to better support the deformations associated with wearing.
